Lena Meszaros
Lena is a textile artist of Hungarian and Russian origin, living in France.
In her art quilts, she tells stories, inspired by her past as a playwright in the theatre, blurring the lines between reality and imagination, bordering on the fantastical.
Visually, her artworks are equally intense — a baroque luxury of details, an abundance of colors and emotions. Beyond her imagination, she is guided by spiritual connection.
She enjoys exhibiting, sharing, travelling, and meeting friends. She creates in 2D and 3D, and she teaches eco-printing, organza, and metalwork.

The Unexpected
Size: 44'' x 50''
We can often feel a kind of routine in our lives. As if things always unfold in the same way, with no way to escape.
The people of Chessland had a laborious and predictable life, where victories and defeats followed one another. But one day, however, the improbable happens: at the end of a game of chess, the White King and the Black Queen leave the board to venture into an unknown, new world.
There is always hope that we can choose to follow our greatest inspirations and find our true nature.
