“Casey's Choice” explores the daily battle between despair and hope, where an addict’s decisions can lead either to renewal or to ruin. My work reflects both the degradation of addiction and the resilience that persists within its chaos.
Addiction is not just self-destruction; it also deeply wounds those who love the addict.
The person dismissed as a liar, thief, prostitute, panhandler, useless member of society is also someone's precious child, beautiful mother, best friend.
I hope this work fosters compassion, dialogue, and understanding, reminding us that every addict is a human being someone's beloved soul. And Casey? Every day, I pray she finds the strength to choose life.
